Investor, Founder, Operator, and Mom
Investor: I am the founder and managing partner at Elsa Capital, an early-stage venture fund that invests in top fintech and AI startups. In the past, I’ve invested across stages – from being an angel investor and advisor to seed-stage startups, to growth-stage investing, to evaluating IPOs and investing in S&P 500 public stocks over the past decade.
Operator: I’m very fortunate to have played a role in Stripe’s high-growth scaling phase (from 1K to 10K employees) across leadership roles in product, strategy and finance.. I advised C-level executives on strategy and market insights, drove product and growth for Stripe’s flagship product, raised billions of dollars in fundraising, and delivered one of Stripe’s best business reviews and long-term strategy plans.
Founder: I’d never thought I’d be an entrepreneur when I was a kid. Even when I was a student at Stanford, I took zero classes on entrepreneurship. But Stripe instilled a love of startups and technology in me. I was CEO and co-founder of a fintech startup.
Personal: I grew up in Beijing, China, worked on three continents, and now live in San Francisco with my family. I have an MBA from Stanford and a dual degree in Bioengineering and Finance, summa cum laude, from University of Pennsylvania.
