Investor, Founder, Operator – and Mom

  • Investor: I am the founder and managing partner at Elsa Capital, an early-stage, thesis-driven venture firm investing at the intersection of fintech and AI. Over the past decade, I’ve invested across all stages—from angel investing to evaluating IPOs and S&P 500 stocks.

  • Operator: I’m very fortunate to have played a role in Stripe’s hypergrowth period from $5 billion to $100 billion valuation, holding leadership roles in product, strategy and finance. I advised C-level executives on strategy and market insights, drove product and growth for Stripe’s flagship product, raised billions in fundraising, and led one of Stripe’s best-ever business reviews and long-term strategy plans.

  • Founder: I never thought I’d be an entrepreneur. Even at Stanford GSB, I took zero classes on entrepreneurship... But Stripe instilled in me a love of startups and technology. Before founding Elsa Capital, I was cofounder and CEO of a fintech startup accepted into YC.

  • Personal: I grew up in Beijing, China, worked on three continents, and now live in San Francisco with my husband and two lovely daughters. I have an MBA from Stanford GSB, a B.S. dual degree in Bioengineering and Finance (summa cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania, and I am a CFA charterholder.
